Do I receive notifications when the requests are placed? What about on completion?

Yes.  All requests receive several confirmation emails:

• Email confirmation at time the request is placed
• Email notification that the request is being scheduled on a route
• Email notification that the request was completed.  This notification includes pictures of the completed request.
